Prints

This miniature etching of a cormorant perched on a branch with wings drying is a variable, limited edition print (series of 25, hence the V.E. in the title line).

Variability within the edition is in slight colour variations of the background. The background, including the main plate colour and the bordering foliage, is created by a viscosity printing technique applied to the surface of the plate prior to printing. The bird plate itself is created using the solar plate etching technique, from a pen and pencil drawing I made of a frequent visitor to my local pond.

6.9 x 8.9 cm print (paper size 10.5 x 13 cm), on 300 gsm Hahnemühle paper. The print is delivered in a 8″ x 8″ mat board, so you can pop it straight into a standard sized frame.
